“Shelter in place” “Self-Quarantine” “Social Distancing”
I doubt that I am over exaggerating when I say that collectively, we are freakin’ stressed out. We are preoccupied with the thoughts of safety for our selves, family, friends, community, world. Consumed by reports, news, and social media feeds. Worried about bills and employment. Paralyzed at times by our own thoughts and emotions.
There is a funky mix of energy out there…fear, helplessness, hopelessness, unpredictability, scarcity, misinformation, lack of support and guidance.
But I am here to remind you…that is not our complete story. It may be the beginning of this story, but it won’t be the ending. It never is.
Think about where you are seeing other energy. There is amazing positive energy out there as well as resiliency, hope, predictability, personal power, safety, unity, and direction.
“#inthistogether” “#hopegoesglobal”
“My landlord is reducing my office rent for the next two months”
Okay that was one was from my personal life–but that definitely falls into the Pretty Awesome bucket.
Let’s practicing shifting into:
- Seeking and choosing hope
- Sharing our unique skills, gifts and talents with others
- Creating a new routine, schedule or structure for ourselves
- Exerting our personal power by making supportive decisions
- Identifying opportunities to be leaders or helpers
- Opportunities to seek grounding, balance and inner peace
- Seeking truth and clarity of helpful information
- Choosing bravery and courage
- Practicing gratitude
I have found some inspiring examples of all of these. This is where I am choosing to focus my attention. Examples of the brilliance in our connection to each other. Humanity, innovation, strength, wisdom and the power of love and hope. These are the stories I am seeking during this time. I am seeking inspiration to crush any fears.
I am challenging you to seek inspiration, gratitude and all forms of healing and positive energy in your inner and outer world. Your mind, body and spirit will thank you.
