Online Counseling

Sometimes weather, personal comfort level, area of residence, transportation issues, limited mobility, childcare struggles, or simply hectic schedules keep people from engaging in therapy. 

Online Counseling removes those barriers.

For residents of Illinois, who do not live locally, online therapy is an great option for finding a therapist who is the best fit for you.

Connecting with each other online is simple, convenient, and secure utilizing a HIPAA compliant platform.  Either accessing telehealth sessions via ZOOM or Doxy.me.

During the times internet connections fail; we will move over to phone sessions to maintain our appointment time.

Most insurance policies covers Telehealth Counseling.  Research has shown that telehealth is as effective as in-person, with the exception of a few client conditions. These are typically with clients who are at risk for self-harm and harm to others.

I am discontinuing In-Office Counseling

During COVID, I moved out of my St. Charles office, unsure what counseling would look like “post-COVID”. I moved all clients to teleheath at that time.

Returning to a brick and mortar office in Batavia, 28 S. Water Street, in June 2023.

However, I am closing my in-person office in December of 2024. This is due to a variety of issues: increasing rent costs, very small percent of client’s scheduling consistent in-person sessions (10-30% of my weekly sessions), and needing to reprioritize health and family.

I know this may be a disappoint to those who have enjoyed in-person, and I am sorry for any disruption this may cause any clients. Try telehealth and see if could be an alternative to in-person sessions.

For those outside of IL, Coaching may be an option.
